Tier 1 – Undefeated

1. Kansas City Chiefs 9i4edn75t
Record: 4-0
Last Game: W, 29-20 vs Washington
Next Game: Week 5 @ Texans
Last Week: 1

Brandon: What an amazing 7 point cover for the Chiefs at the buzzer on MNF. Kansas City looks like the most complete team in the league, led by Kareem Hunt and Alex Smith. Go figure.

Erick: The Chiefs are the only team that look to be in mid-season form right now, and still haven’t done anything to lose the #1 spot.

Tier 2 – The Almost Contenders

giphy (3)

green_bay_packers_logo2Green Bay Packers green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 35-14 vs Bears (TNF)
Next Game: Week 5 vs Cowboys
Last Week: 4

Brandon: The Pack got back on track thanks to the Bears, but losing RB Ty Montgomery is not the best news. Still, Aaron Rodgers looks like he is in prime form.

Erick: The Packers were one of my top 5 teams before the season started, but they don’t look as good as I thought they would be right now. With that being said, they still look better than the rest of the teams in the NFC.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 26-9 @ Ravens
Next Game: Week 5 vs Jaguars
Last Week: 7

B: Just when I thought the Steelers could take a step forward, they get stuck in the mud. Road Big Ben is a worry for the Steelers.

E: I definitely didn’t see the Steelers losing to the Bears, but at least Brown, and Bell got going offensively.  However Big Ben really needs to figure out how to solve his road game issues.

4atlanta_falcons_logo-svg. Atlanta Falcons 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-1
Last Game: L, 17-23 vs Bills
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 2

B: Atlanta is a very good team, but has some flaws. This offense looks a little different without Shanahan, but they are still the 2nd best team in the NFC, by far.

E: Losing to the Bills doesn’t drop the Falcons out of the top 5 for me, but the Falcons don’t look like the best team in the NFC right now.

5. Detroit Lions green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 14-7 @ Vikings
Next Game: Week 5 vs Panthers
Last Week: 9

B: Could easily be 4-0. Matthew Stafford is leading this team and looking like THE GUY. Congrats on Jim Caldwell on his extension.

E:  There is nothing flashy about the Lions this season, but they are winning games, and are a top 5 team after 4 games.

6. Denver Broncos green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 16-10 vs Raiders
Next Game: Week 5
Last Week: 10

B: Denver showed it’s weakness last week, and it’s the QB position. Siemian makes some stupid mistakes at times, which ends up costing his team possessions.

E: Big win against the Division Rival Raiders, which is huge because this might be a competitive division all year long. As long as Siemian isn’t too bad, the Broncos are going to be a contender.

7. Buffalo Bills green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 23-17 @ Falcons
Next Game: Week 5 @ Bengals
Last Week: 13

B: A very impressive win in Atlanta for the Bills. This Bills team is looking very good, but I still need to see how they look against New England.

E: I expected the up and coming Bills to lose a close game against the Falcons on the road, but they went to Atlanta and actually won the game. This team continues to impress me.

8. Philadelphia Eagles green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 26-24 @ Chargers
Next Game: Week 5 vs Cardinals
Last Week: 12

B: The Eagles pulled out a close one in Los Angeles, and lead the NFC East. Carson Wentz can move in the pocket like a true veteran.

E: The Eagles were able to travel out West and get a win against the Chargers, and remained in 1st place in the NFC East. So far so good for the Eagles.

9. Los Angeles Rams green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 35-30 @ Cowboys
Next Game: Week 5 vs Seahawks
Last Week: 18

B: So, the Rams are for real. Leading the NFC West early on and Jared Goff combined with Todd Gurley is looking nice.

E: Huge win for the Rams on the road against the Cowboys. This moves the Rams to the top 10, and drops the Cowboys out of the top 10.

10. New England Patriots  2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 33-30 vs Panthers
Next Game: Week 5 @ Buccaneers (TNF)
Last Week: 3

B: Tom Brady has a QB rating over 130. The problem is, all 4 opposing QBs have the same rating against this porous defense.

E: If it wasn’t for Tom Brady, no way this team is still a top 10 team. The defense is bad, on a historical level.

Tier 3 – Impressive, at times

house not bad

11. Houston Texans 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: W, 57-14 vs Titans
Next Game: Week 5 vs Chiefs
Last Week: 14

B: The Texans have found their franchise QB. Getting a big win against a division rival is always nice.

E: I thought all the Texans needed was a decent QB, and Watson might be the guy. The Texans have a shot at being a top 5 team by the end of the season.

carolina_panthers_logo_201212. Carolina Panthers green_arrow_up
Record: 3-1
Last Game: W, 33-30 @ Patriots
Next Game: Week 5 @ Lions
Last Week: 19

B: Paging Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde – This Panthers team looked like the 15-1 team of two years ago. If Cam can do THAT, book Carolina into the postseason.

E:  The Panthers were able to win some games they shouldn’t have won early on, but maybe they’re starting to figure some things out after a couple of weeks. The Panthers are back in the mix.

13. Washington Football Team green_arrow_up
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 20-29 @ Chiefs (MNF)
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 16

B: Kirk looked the part of franchise QB again, even in a losing effort. Washington showed that this team can hold it’s own against the best of the NFL.

E: I was wrong about Washington, they are better than I thought, and they still aren’t out of the race for NFC East champs.

tampa_bay_buccaneers_201415. Tampa Bay Buccaneers green_arrow_up
Record: 2-1
Last Game: W, 25-23 vs Giants
Next Game: Week 5 vs Patriots (TNF)
Last Week: 20

B: The Bucs did what they were supposed to and beat the lowly Giants. The true next for this team lies in Week 5 against the now vulnerable Patriots defense.

E: I was high on the Bucs before the season started, but I wasn’t too impressed with the Bucs barely beating the Giants at home. Maybe the fact that they started a week later has something to do with the start, but hey they still got the win.

16. Dallas Cowboys 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 30-35 vs Rams
Next Game: Week 5 @ Packers
Last Week: 6

B: Dak looked solid, but the Cowboys weapons are missing in action. Losing to the Rams at home is not a good look for a team that wanted to win the division. Now, 2-3 is staring them in the face.

E: They still have, Dez, Dak, and Zeke, but for some reason, it’s not working out the same as last year. Something seems to be off this year, and they need to figure it out fast.

17. Oakland Raiders 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 10-16 @ Broncos
Next Game: Week 5 vs Ravens
Last Week: 5

B: Well, so much for finding their groove again. Derek Carr is now out 2-6 weeks, and this offense has scored 20 points in the last two games.

E: This isn’t working out the same as last season for the Raiders, and they need to figure it out.  The receivers are dropping way too many passes, and losing Carr for 2-6 weeks makes things even harder to figure out.

18. Seattle Seahawks  green_arrow_up
Record: 2-2
Last Game: W, 46-18 vs Colts
Next Game: Week 5 @ Rams
Last Week: 21

B: Seattle seems to have found the offensive groove. A big NFC West showdown is set for Week 5, and that will tell us a lot about this Settle Team.

E: They got to beat up on the Colts, but are still far away from being  Super Bowl contenders, like most of us thought before the season started.

tennessee-titans-logo19. Tennessee Titans 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 14-57 @ Texans
Next Game: Week 5 @ Dolphins
Last Week: 8

B: Titans got blasted on the road, and Mariota goes down with a hamstring injury. To make matters worse, they SIGN BRANDON WEEDEN. Are you kidding me? I want to drop this team just for that decision.

E: I wouldn’t give up on the Titans making the playoffs yet, but after the blowout loss to the Texans, it looks like it’s the Texans division to lose.

19. Minnesota Vikings 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 7-14 vs Lions
Next Game: Week 5 @ Bears (MNF)
Last Week: 11

B: So the Vikings have now lost RB Dalvin Cook for the year, and with Bradford still out, this team is gonna be joining the lower tiers very soon. Right?

E: Losing Cook for the rest of the year, might have been the nail in the coffin for the Vikings playoff hopes.

20. Jacksonville Jaguars 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 20-23 vs Jets
Next Game: Week 5 @ Steelers
Last Week: 15

B: Tisk Tisk tisk…the Jaguars could have came out and made a statement, but of course, in typical Bortles fashion, they blow it.

E: Just when I wanted to buy into the Jags, they lose to the Jets, let’s hope I learned my lesson.

Tier 4: Oh No…What is you doing?

what are you doing.gif

21. Arizona Cardinals green_arrow_up
Record: 2-2
Last Game: W, 18-15 vs 49ers
Next Game: Week 5 @ Eagles
Last Week: 24

B: David Johnson would cure a lot of this teams offensive woes. They can hang around, but aren’t good enough.

E: They’re good enough to beat the Niners in OT, but not good enough to beat any serious contenders.

22. New Orleans Saints green_arrow_up
Record: 2-2
Last Game: W, 20-0 @ Dolphins (London)
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 25

B: The Saints will look ok at times, but this team cannot get into the playoffs. Too many better teams in front of them. Kamara is a three down back though, and it seems Peterson and/or Ingram’s time is almost up.

E: Let’s not let the 2-2 record fool us, the Saints will be able to win some games, but the defense will continue to be bad, and cost them a realistic chance at the playoffs.

24. New York Jets green_arrow_up
Record: 2-2
Last Game: W, 23-20 @ Jaguars
Next Game: Week 5 @ Browns
Last Week: 28

B: Holy shit…the Jets could be 3-2 after 5 weeks!!!!! What is going on?

E: Don’t get it confused, the Jets are not a good football team, but they have been better than the trash squads that are ranked below them.

25. Baltimore Ravens 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-2
Last Game: L, 9-26 vs Steelers
Next Game: Week 5 @ Raiders
Last Week: 17

B: Maybe the Ravens were burnt out from the London trip, but they did not look like a good football team last week.

E: I guess it wasn’t just traveling to London that made the Ravens a bad team, they still stunk it up at home against the Steelers. This team is on the fast track to the bottom of the rankings.

26. Cincinnati Bengalsclipart-download-funny-football-team-pics-and-amusing-football-clipart-9W4z20-clipart 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 1-3
Last Game: W, 31-7 @ Browns
Next Game: Week 5 vs Bills
Last Week: 31

B: The Bengals got their first win of the season, at the expense of the Browns. A big test coming up against Buffalo, this will make or break the Bengals season.

E: Bad against good teams, and good against bad teams, that’s the way the season is going to go for the Bengals.

27. Miami Dolphins 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 1-2
Last Game: L, 0-20 vs Saints (London)
Next Game: Week 5 @ Titans
Last Week: 22

B: Turns out it’s not just Jay Cutler. This entire team is not good.

E: What a way to No-Show in London…. It looked like the Dolphins left the will to win back in Miami. Cutler, and the Dolphins are a mess.

28. Chicago Bears 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 1-3
Last Game: L, 14-25 @ Packers (TNF)
Next Game: Week 5 vs Vikings (TNF)
Last Week: 23

B: So this team is as bad as we thought, but at least we get to see the #2 pick play next week!

E: The Bears have played bad enough to warrant a QB change, now the Rookie gets to be the savior of the franchise…….. good luck Mitch.

Tier 5 – Welcome to Shitsville

giphy (3)

new_york_giants_logo-svg29. New York Giants 9i4edn75t
Record: 0-4
Last Game: L, 23-25 @ Buccaneers
Next Game: Week 5 vs Chargers
Last Week: 29

Brandon: A chance for the Giants to get their first win of the season comes this week. How many more games until McAdon’t is fired?

Erick: The Giants defense was supposed to be their best weapon, but even the defense isn’t that good this year. You can now cross the Giants off, if you hadn’t done so already.

30. Los Angeles Chargers 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 0-4
Last Game: L, 24-26 vs Eagles
Next Game: Week 5 @ Giants
Last Week: 26

B: The Chargers are wearing out their welcome in Los Angeles, quickly. Chargers are staring 0-5 in the face.

E: If the 49ers mastered the art of staying in games, only to lose them at the end, it was only because the Chargers taught them how it’s done.  At 0-4 there is no excuses for the Chargers, this is just a bad football team.

30. San Francisco 49ers 9i4edn75t
Record: 0-4
Last Game: L, 15-18 @ Cardinals
Next Game: Week 5 @ Colts
Last Week: 30

B: Again, touchdown issues haunt this team as they cannot punch it in the endzone when it matters most. Congrats on Elvis Dumervil on sack #100, the shortest player to do so,

E: The 49ers have mastered the art of staying in games, only to lose at the end. If the Niners lose to the Colts next week, maybe they can give the Browns a run for their money for the Bottom spot.

31. Indianapolis Colts 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 1-3
Last Game: L, 18-46 @ Seahawks
Next Game: Week 5 vs 49ers
Last Week: 27

B: Not a great performance in prime-time for this Colts team. Luck is practicing finally, but he won’t be back just yet.

E: If Luck comes back this team is still going to lose a lot of games.  They need to fire the head coach, sit Luck out for the entire year, and hope next year is better.

32. Cleveland Browns 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 0-4
Last Game: L, 7-31 vs Bengals
Next Game: Week 5 vs Jets
Last Week: 28

B: Yeah, the Browns stink. Hue Jackson is not that great, it turns out. This might be the only shot at win #1.

E: The Browns own the bottom spot, the only question is, if any other teams are going to compete with them for the bottom spot.
